| How to setup Keybinds for switching channels in Teamspeak |
| Download the file: Keybinds |
| Choose "Save" in the dialog box. Save to a convienent location on your computer. I would recommend your Desktop. |
| Before you import the file, we have to setup Teamspeak to connect to our Teampseak servers. |
| Open Teamspeak. Click 'Connection' and then 'Connect' |
| The next screen may show some servers that you have already configured in the past. |
| Right-click anywhere and choose 'Add Server.' |
| A 'New Server' will appear. Hit the 'Enter' key. |
Change the Label to 'Rebel Battalion - Primary' This is important or the keybind will not work from the imported file.
You will also have to change the 'Server Address' to the IP of the Teamspeak server.
The nickname is the name that will show in Teamspeak.
If you want to login in as registered, enter your Login Name and password. |
Now we will CLONE this server so that we can configure the Rebel Battalion - Secondary server.
To CLONE a server, click to highlight the server you wish to clone, then right-click and choose 'Clone Server.' |
| Now you have two servers with the exact same information. |
It doesn't matter which you select, so highlight one by clicking on it.
In the Label field, change "Primary" to "Secondary."
Change the IP address to reflect our backup: 98.162.247.241.
Make any changes to the following feilds that are appropriate: Nickname, Login Name, and Password. |
You should now have two servers that have information like the ones shown in the screenshots.
Notice the default channel. This is the channel that will join when you first connect.
This is a nice feature but not absolutely necessary for what we are trying to accomplish.
Once complete, highlight "Rebel Battalion - Primary and the click 'Connect.' |
| You are now connected to our primary server. We can now import the keybind file. |
| Click on 'Settings' then select 'Key Settings.' |
The screenshot on the left shows what this window will look like after the import.
The screenshot on the right shows what it may look like now if you do not have any keybinds.
Click on 'Import.' |
This is how Vista's Open dialog window looks. So, understand that your Open dialog window may look a little bit different.
Navigate to where you saved the file and click on 'Open.' |
You should now see a window that looks like this one.
If you find a conflict with a key combination that I use, feel free to change it to something that works better for your setup.
To edit a keybind, highlight the bind, then click 'Edit.' |
To change the keys used to perform the action, click on 'Set' and then hit the desired key.
Repeat for any other conflicts you find. |
